Hello friends,

To say that we are in the middle of an active hurricane season would be an understatement. There are currently THREE named storms in the Atlantic right now – Tropical Storms Hanna, Ike, and Josephine.  All three of these could potentially play havoc with the State of Florida.

I’d like to remind you all to harden your homes as much and as soon as you possibly can. If you have not yet had a windstorm mitigation inspection done on your home, I’d also encourage you to do that as soon as possible. Not only will it let you know what improvements can be made to your home, but right off the bat it can save you money on your homeowners insurance.

Your insurance company more than likely never inspected your home so when they receive a windstorm inspection report they are generally able to offer rate reductions – sometimes as high as 25% - for protections you may already have in your home.

So please, do what you can to protect your homes and your loved ones from these impending storms. I’ve included some links below for more information on hardening your homes.

God Bless,

Bill

13th Annual Family Salsa Festival

This past Sunday, I had the very distinct pleasure of participating in the 13th Annual Family Salsa Festival. What a fun time!

The event included the 12th Annual Miss Puerto Rico Pageant, Grammy Award winning Salsa singer Lalo Rodriquez, games, GREAT food, and more.

I was also thrilled to receive the endorsement of the Puerto Rican-Hispanic Empowerment Committee. For years, I have worked with local leaders like Sam Lopez and Joe Alba on issues important to the Hispanic community and I appreciate this show of confidence in me to continue representing them in Washington D.C.

Homeowners Associations

If your neighborhood has a homeowners association that meets regularly or sends out a newsletter, then you may be able to help the Bill Posey Campaign!

Ask your HOA Boards if Senator Posey could be a featured speaker, or even just a guest, at their next meeting. These meetings are wonderful opportunities to meet with your neighborhood and discuss issues important to them.

If that’s not possible, ask if Senator Posey can write a letter to be included in your next HOA newsletter. These are both great ways to get our message out and for people to learn about Bill Posey.
